The original AEA network was a mixture of taxis and planes. A decicated Dakota plane flew from Abingdon to Manchester, returned to Abingdon and then continued onwards to Bournemouth and back to Abingdon. A taxi service went from Manchester airport to Risley. A similar taxi service went from Bournemouth to Winfrith. Abingdon to Harwell, Harwell to Aldermaston and back, Culham to Aldermaston was added later.
Later remote job entry services were established between Culham, Harwell, Aldermaston, Risley and Winfrith.
